I have to admit when Whitney gave me the direction to their wedding I had never heard of Weogulka, AL, but as I spent the day in that small Alabama town one thing was very clear, this was home. Surrounded by their family and friends it was evident that the thing that mattered most to Whitney and Seth on that day was being surrounded by the people they cared about. I hope I was able to capture that feeling, and the oppressive heat because it was by far the hottest day of the year. Not a good day to be dressed in black for sure!

Sara Beth & Matt

I have known Sara Beth for years and before she was even officially engaged and before I was officially a business I knew SB wanted me to film her wedding day. Which says two things, she had way too much confidence in me two years ago, and girlfriend new she was marrying Matt! It is always fun filming a friends wedding, but with the added pressure of not letting your friends down. That was not a problem with Sara Beth and Matt because the entire day from beginning to end was a blast. I hope you can see that in their wedding film. Nic & Jessie

Nic & Jessie’s wedding weekend presented many first for me. It was my first opportunity to film a rehearsal dinner, my first experience working with Mandii Irwin Photography (and hopefully not my last), and my first experience filming with the threat of rain hanging over our head all day. In the end everything came out great. With each wedding I film I have my favorite moments that at the time I was filming I had not idea I caught on film. Pay attention during the rehearsal dinner scene, specifically when the toast are being made, you will notice the little girl raise her arm at the same time everyone else raises their glasses to toast . . . and she does it twice! What I remember most about this day is how hot is was, maybe the hottest day of the summer. Which is why not only did I have filming duties, but also tissue duty to keep the perspiration off the bride and groom. Oh and I also held the ladder for Erin while she took pictures. Lindsey and Rob

What I will remember the most from this shoot is Lindsey’s mother making an emergency visit to the dentist office and the amazing reception at Matt Jones Gallery in the Lakeview District. Lindsey and Rob were great and I had a blast filming! Also, what I have discovered is that someone always “steals the show” and I think it is obvious who steals the show in this one! This wedding was special for one simple reason, the bride and groom are dear friends of mine. I have kidded Brooke for two years now about how she would be the stereotypical “bridezilla”, but in all honesty Brooke was anything but a bridezilla. Brooke and David’s wedding is proof that sometimes simple is the best. As you will see there are so many times that Brooke’s laugh and smile lights up the screen, and lucky for us David does a wonderful job of making her smile! Congratulations guys!
